Hello Everyone,
Heres the answers to a few of the most asked questions. If you have a question please submit it to sightparanormal@yahoo.com and put FAQ in the subject line, and if you want we will put your name on the question. Remember, the only dumb questions are the ones that are never asked because chances are someone else may be wondering the same thing. Take care and be safe-Rob Hall
Q-Can I just walk into a graveyard anywhere and investigate??
A- Not really. If you go during the posted hours then its perfectly legal to be there, although someone might wonder why your taking photos and asking questions. If your going after dark
then as they say, your pretty much on your own and can be arrested for trespassing if you get a police man or woman who's really gung ho!! You may also be blamed for any recent acts
of vandalism or any other problems found there. Its best to either get permission to go during the evening, or go there during the daytime. Remember, the way the police are more than likely
going to look at it is what are you doing out there at night-your not a teenager on a dare or a little lost child-your an adult and they will treat you as such!
Q.-There is an interesting cemetery in a bad neighborhood near my home that I have always wanted to check out, should I bring a baseball bat or some other type of protection along with me???
A.-What you carry or bring with you is your own business, however, when you get caught with it, you had better have a good story as to how it wound up with you in the middle of a
grave yard in the middle of the night, and be ready to face the music of carrying a wepon with you. If you bring something obvious like a baseball bat then of course they are going to search
everyone very closely before letting us go. I do, carry protection with me when I go to a place I know is in a bad location, or if I have never been to a location before and am not sure who
could be out in the woods. I would not recommend others doing that unless you are very good with whatever it is you carry with you. I have heard of people bringing tazer's, knifes, pepper
spray and other items just to mention a few. I do not carry any of the above, but do practice every week, I don't have it all the time, but if I am going somewhere I don't know, then I
do. Believe me you have a lot more to fear from the living than the dead. I will assume no responsibility or liability for anyone who carry's a weapon with them, however if I see you flashing
anything that may be a weapon in anything other then an emergency, you may be asked to leave the investigation. Believe me I know how to protect my people while we are out and will do
whatever needs to be done to stop an attack. Be aware of where you are and what's going on. Always travel in groups of at least 2 and keep all groups and people within sight at all times (I
know its hard to do in the dark).
Q.-When I finish an investigation should I go to the homeowners location where we did the investigation and play the EVPs and show them the pictures???
A.-ABSOLUTLY NOT!! This is one a LOT of people don't know. You should NEVER play an EVP in a location that may be haunted. It will really make the spirits there angry and
a lot of bad stuff can happen. Meet them at a park or coffee house or even have them use head phones, but under no condition play the EVP out loud with no head phones! This happened to
a group I used to be a member of a few times but most notably in Rico Ds pizza. I asked the owner of the group to please not play the EVPs in the place, and he went ahead and did it
anyway, and all of the computers (even the ones used to do orders and figure your totals) went down except for our groups. We weren't even connected to the internet or in any way to his
computers, but, EVERY computer in the place locked up and wouldn't work until the next day!!
Q.- I have heard people talk about "protecting themselves" before going into a haunted location. What exactly does this mean and what does it consist of??
A.- Protection when you go into a haunted location is one of the most important things you can do for yourself AND your family. If you don't do it, most certainly at some point you
will bring some type of a spirit home with you. For protection some people wear a religious medal or cross which is a good move also, however you need to also say a prayer of protection. It
will vary depending on what religion you are or what your beliefs are. Many people say that before you go in to close your eyes and relax and imagine Gods love as a brilliant white light, then
to picture yourself and your group surrounded and bathed in that white light. I prefer to say a prayer of protection, and usually we all stand outside the location and the whole group says the
prayer thus far this has seemed to be effective. Spirits are sometimes attracted to people with similar personality's, also, when you go into somewhere where spirits have been trapped for quite
a while don't ever say anything about they can come home with you or invite them somewhere else even as a joke-you may just find a spirit may follow you home!! If you were stuck
someplace for a long time and were lonely wouldn't you?? Anyway please make sure to protect yourself and others with just a simple prayer-the religion doesn't matter as long as you believe
in it.
Q-Can I take a memento of my trip to a graveyard or any abandoned locations that I may visit??
A-DEFINATLY NOT!!! First of all that is STEALING. Weather you think anyone would want whatever is sitting in the grass or in a pile or anywhere else while you are on
someone else's property, LEAVE IT THERE. Also many times there could be a spirit attached to that item, and you will just bring that spirit right into your own home!!
