GROUP INFORMATION

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to our group information page. This group itself in its current configuration has been around for several months, but most of us have been investigating for much much longer than that. We were at one time members of another local group, until we began to have doubts about the way that things were being done-we began to have doubts about the authenticity of some of the evidence that was displayed on there web page, and the leader out and out lieing about certain things. So I had figured that I was just going to go on and investigate on my own as I had for years before I even had known there were groups out there, but, on the insistence of several of our former groups members who also wanted to leave the group, I started this group. Myself and 30 other members left our former group, which, at that time was a bit more than a third of the group. Since that time-our former group has grown-because of the owner harvesting members and sending out random invitations. One of the problems we have found with many local and other groups (not just limited to our former group) is the fact that they have one small core group of investigators, and its very hard for members to get into this "click".  Many of them will invite you to large events such as a large cemetary "investigation" or some other place where 10 or more people show up and are all tripping over one another wondering what they should be doing. It is virtually impossable to do an investigation with any more than 8 to 10 people, and with 10 people- it had better be a pretty large location. And EVPs- forget about it with so many people there, much less attempting to train people on the proper way to investigate!

How are we different?

We here at SIGHT-paranormal don't believe in that sort of thing. We believe that if people want to join, they will hear about us-check out our sight or group and then want to sign up themselves. We like to keep the majority of our members from the chicago-land area or if nothing else at least in Illinois. We don't care if you have experience investigating or not, as we will show you the proper way to do an investigation. We also will give EVERY member who wishes to investigate a chance to do so. We also think that one of the most important things to be a group thats going to last for a long time is to work well with other groups, and to this end, we have already had a few outings with other groups, and will continue to do so. We think that the sharing of information between groups and groups helping each other, and learning about the paranormal is very important, as we think that our education as far as learning about ghosts, spirits, demons, and hauntings is ALWAYS ongoing.  Also as we have found, sometimes, because of work or previous commitments, not every person can make it to one event, and when we involve other groups, there almost always are enough people available between several groups to do a good and complete investigation. When we do an investigation we will come to your location prepared for whatever may face us, and we always will let the client in on what's happening--be it good or bad. Also-ALL INVESTIGATIONS ARE FREE OF CHARGE. We are in this to help people and to investigate and gather data on the paranormal, not to make money-that is for sure!!! We dont advertise or subscribe to any search engines at all, and we are not in this to win any "web awards" or to see how many members we can get. We can have 5000 members but if they are from many other states, and really dont have an interest in investigating and upholding our rules and protocols, then what use are all of those members??  I prefer to have fewer, VERY WELL TRAINED people from this area that I can count on. The members currently here are like family to me, and I know if it came down to it, I could count on these members to watch my back!  If you would like to join what isnt just a group, but more of a family, or If you have other questions not answered here- just email them to sightparanormal@yahoo.com  and I will answer them as quickly as I can.
